Windgap Foundation

EB

What it is: The Windgap Foundation was founded in 1953 by a group of parents who had been denied schooling for their children. The organisation works to improve the quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities and raise community awareness of their needs and aspirations.

Where your money goes: Your donations and time allow Windgap to provide a variety of services, including supported accommodation, employment training, community access, community participation and other individualised programs for over 180 clients currently accessing its services. Windgap also conducts fundraising events – the current goal is a new hoist vehicle.

How to donate: You can assist, as an individual or a business by making a donation or joining a volunteer program. This includes community participation such as accompanying a client to the library once a month or sharing a hobby or interest with them. Visit www.windgap.org.au or phone (02) 8337 3600.
