Do it with ETPs

There are a number of ETPs that give you access to agricultural commodities. ETF Securities, for example, has four agricultural exchange traded products listed on the ASX (all of which are fully collateralised). These are the ETPCRN, which gives investors 100% exposure to corn, and the ETPWHT, which gives 100% exposure to wheat. ETF Securities also has a grains basket (ETPGRN), giving investors exposure to soybean, corn and wheat. For investors seeking more diversification, ETF offers an agriculture basket (ETPAGR), giving exposure to seven different agricultural commodities: soybean, corn, wheat, sugar, soybean oil, coffee and cotton. BetaShares also offers one – the Agriculture ETF Currency Hedged (Synthetic) (QAG). It invests in “soft commodities” such as corn, wheat, soybeans and sugar.
