ESTIMATED DEBUT 2014

DEVELOPED IN TANDEM WITH THE WILLIAMS FORMULA 1 TEAM, the plug-in C-X75 is the latest creation from Ian Callum, the Jaguar design chief who also created Aston Martin’s iconic DB9. The C-X75 is a few years away from production and still taking shape. It takes about 3.3 seconds to go from zero to 60 and has a 205-mph top speed, but also a roughly 35-mile electric-only range and Prius-like emissions of 99 grams of CO2 per kilometer. The prototype featured technologically impressive but impractical microturbine jet engines; those will be replaced by a 2.0-liter gas engine that extends driving range beyond 500 miles.
